ispace Technologies, US. is a looking for a highly motivated and talented Accounting and Budget Specialist to join its new team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the budgeting process for the US office; with a particular emphasis on the IDC (Indirect Cost) budget.
- Oversee budget-to-actuals tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying best practices for reporting.
- Assist the program management team with historical and planned payments related to mission-specific costs.
- Create journal entries and accruals for leases, payroll, and accounts payable.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts related to payroll and leases.
- Present financial results approximately six times a year during the company’s Business Performance Review (BPR) meetings.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information are readily available.
- Assist in the creation and presentation of budgetary requests.
- Oversee cash flow for business expenditures, including updating the Latest Business Estimate (LBE) for headquarters.
- Manage the company’s timekeeping system to ensure that employees enter their time accurately and on time.
- Update labor rates upon the start of a new budget term or upon special request.
- Collaborate with external tax consultants by providing necessary financial data and reporting for tax compliance.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Support accounting and finance team members as needed to meet deadlines.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting discipline with focus on systems and control. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- 5+ years experience in budgeting and accounting
- Strong business acumen and judgment, with the ability to strategically evaluate business issues and accurately assess key metrics and situations.
- Experience in managing aspects of the budgeting process.
- Knowledge of the Chart of Accounts and General Ledger activities, including booking and closing processes.
- Proficiency in understanding Financial Statements: Balance Sheet (BS), Cash Flow Statement (CF), and Income Statement (IS).
- Ability to work independently and to identify and recommend best practices
- Effective and positive communication across cultural and physical boundaries within an international business environment

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary based upon experience - $110,000-140,000. The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
