Role Summary
The team is responsible for all aspects of Revenue Accounting and processing.  Key areas of the Revenue Team's overall responsibility include:
- Commercial analysis supporting revenue contracts such as review of contracts and new product or sales offerings
- Operational excellence in relation to managing revenue transactions, input to forecast process, and reporting
- Ensuring Compliance through internal and external audit, policies and key control maintenance and design
- Systems ownership including systems improvements/enhancements and managing all aspects of the transactional revenue journey in current systems
 
We are seeking an Accountant - Revenue Systems so support the team in all aspects of Zuora Revenue systematic close, error and issue resolution, and playing a key role in end-to-end teams managing new system requirements as well as being responsible for User Acceptance Testing.
 
The role will collaborate with other teams in the end-to-end Order to Cash process and will be key in ensuring new system requirements are accurately defined whilst maintaining Revenue accounting compliance. Sophos is a global company, therefore there may be times when a flexible approach to timezone working is required.

What you will do

  • Systematic close processes and solutioning error correction
  • Participate and contribute to requirements gathering sessions
  • Provision of relevant data, documentation and process flows
  • End User Acceptance Testing including developing use cases and samples
  • Conduct End User Acceptance Testing
  • Evaluate current processes for efficiency and help identify gaps and opportunities for improvement

What you will bring

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant post qualification experience, preferably in relation to finance projects and UAT
  • The ability to organise a busy and demanding workload is essential as is the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with changing priorities
  • Strong communications skills; able to develop strong working relationships outside of Finance
  • Revenue accounting experience (IFRS15 or ASC606)
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • Self-starter with drive and determination
  • Zuora Revenue experience
  • In-depth Order-to-Cash processes understanding
  • Financial systems and data management experience
  • Change management projects
