Meztal is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and labor regulations. The ideal candidate is experienced in payroll processing, tax filings, and coordinating employee benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring compliance with tax laws and deductions.
- Enter and validate payroll data in the payroll system to ensure timely submissions.
- Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate with HR to track employee benefits, bonuses, overtime, and time-off balances.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Assist with year-end payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- Monitor and improve internal controls related to payroll processes.
- Stay updated on labor regulations, payroll taxes, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software and tools (e.g., ADP, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems that include payroll modules.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
