Our Client, a leading provider of Industrial Supply equipment based in Galway, is actively seeking a Financial Accountant to assist the Financial Controller with the accounting function.
Please Note: This is a fully on-site role with no Hybrid option available.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the team of staff within the accounting function.
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies and preparation of annual accounts to trial balance level.
- Monitor, control and report on Retail operation cash function.
- Maintain and improve the internal controls within the accounting function.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns and WEEE returns.
- Preparation for year-end statutory audits ie Journals, Accruals, Asset Ledger, Reconciliations, etc.
- Payment approval of all staff business expenses submitted.
- Administration of company motor fleet insurance, accident reports, claims, etc.
- Various other duties (ad-hoc projects).
