Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets and General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing fixed assets and general accounting tasks, with a focus on reconciliation work. While payroll experience is a plus, it will not be a primary focus of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fixed assets accounting process, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts related to fixed assets and other accounting areas.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Support payroll-specific reconciliation tasks as assigned, though these will form a minor part of the daily workload.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and support audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fixed assets accounting and general accounting practices.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and reconciliation is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Alight or similar payroll systems.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
