The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Account Specialist to join our team in Portsmouth, NH!

In this role, you are responsible for helping to optimize and enrich the customer experience throughout the client lifecycle by supporting the Account Managers (AM), Associate Account Mangers (AAM), and Leadership team. You will support the team in leading Clients to their desired outcomes that will ultimately drive the retention and growth of Paymode-X’s client base. Our goal is that the Specialists will grow into managing their own client portfolio as an Associate Account Manager or move to other parts of the business.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Support our AMs and AAMs with managing their clients through operational activities, data gathering/analysis, and other planning activities.
  • Shadow the client-facing teams to learn the Paymode-X business, our clients and bank partners, and what it takes to be a high-performing Account Manager
  • Analyze key data points to understand client usage and opportunities for growth or risk mitigation.
  • Develop an understanding of the Paymode-X solution and other key functional areas in the business.

If you have the attributes, skills, and experience listed below, we want to hear from you:

  • Strong interest in going into a customer-facing role such as sales, customer success, or account management.
  • 1-2+ years of experience (within a Software/High Tech company highly preferred), but other relevant experience welcomed
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Lifelong learner who is always curious to try new things
  • Highly analytical with an interest in how data can be used to drive decisions
  • Detailed-oriented, organized with effective time management skills
  • Always positive, driven to excel, enjoys taking ownership and working collaboratively
