Job Description

 The Account Representative will be located around the Ohio Area, with direct outside sales responsibility for greater Ohio, Indiana, and surrounding areas. This position will coordinate all sales activities relative to prospects and existing accounts within the assigned area of responsibility.

Essential Functions

  1. Able to research and develop new business opportunities in the Midwest.
  2. Visit and communicate with new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products (travel required).
  3. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, and lead time.
  4. Sell Yazoo Mills products to new prospects, communicate our value proposition in the marketplace and continue to look for opportunities within existing accounts to increase our share position.
  5. Develop strong customer/prospect relationships to enhance the selling process.
  6. Develop and maintain territory sales funnel for all new business.
  7. Provide appropriate personnel with progress reports on each account contacted on a regular basis.
  8. Closely monitor new and existing accounts reporting all pertinent information that could impact sales volume levels.
  9. Promptly investigate any account complaints/issues and coordinate the resolution of such with the sales team.
  10. Attend trade shows and association meetings which may or may not require overnight travel.
  11. Maintain accurate expense reports and sales reports, and submit them in a timely manner.
  12. Continue to make every effort to improve selling techniques and internal product knowledge.
  13. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

 Required skills, education, and experience

  • College degree preferred.  
  • High school education/GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years direct outside account selling experience required.
  • Experience in the tape and label or converting industries is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the Midwest. 

 

 The position will be paid based on experience.
