We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Sydney. As an Account Manager at Lightspeed, you will be a part of our Retail Sales team, where you'll handle inbound sales for our retailers across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market. In this role you will be collaborating closely with a variety of merchants to establish connections, understand their goals, and ensure they receive the optimal solution to achieve success. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator who is eager to learn, adept at analysing data, and excels as a team player, efficiently managing tasks.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions to add value.
  • Build trust, actively listen, and focus on upselling to maximise account growth in every interaction.
  • Guide customers through upgrading from basic to advanced platforms.
  • Demonstrate software solutions, from core POS products to modules and upgrades.
  • Drive reactive upselling and monthly recurring revenue expansion through inbound sales.

  • Building strong retailer advocacy, increasing retailer empathy and understanding throughout the company.
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organisational objectives even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role.

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Previous experience in account management, sales development representative, or similar roles with sales environment.
  • Familiarity with consultative sales in a SaaS setting, focusing on solutions.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and other tools to organise and manage sales pipelines.
