Account Manager | Bankrate Labs

Bankrate Labs is looking to provide more value to our user base by increasing our ability to provide first hand experience (FHE) on financial products to our users. We are seeking an individual that can research, collect and organize examples of first hand experience, such as app experience visuals, finding databases of users to interview as well as interface with third party vendors and navigate contract negotiations. 

Note: this role is to be based out of our South Charlotte area office Tuesday-Thursday each week with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related industry experience, preferably in account management or direct marketing at an agency or marketing company
  • Experience with in-depth analysis and problem solving with the ability to think strategically while seeing the execution all the way through
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development, ad strategy, and service
  • Intellectually curious, takes initiative to dig deeper and understand business drivers
  • Identify opportunities to create and distribute FHE content that aligns with our SEO strategy
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across SEO, editorial, product, design  and other distribution channels to understand their FHE needs
  • Ability to quickly assess client situations and configure mutually beneficial value propositions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as mastery over the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating a vision and setting goals for a project
  • Strong project management experience preferred, high attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Top talent that has a bias-to-action and thrives in environments where they are creating new opportunities where none currently exist

What You'll Do:

  • Help identify, approach and negotiate contract terms with new business partners for the acquisition of FHE to be used onsite.
  • Understand business objectives and work with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies that maximize program performance
  • Drive the day-to-day partnership activity to ensure accurate and timely execution 
  • Partner with internal teams on plans to create and roll out unique FHE assets across the brand
  • Lead partner meetings to present and discuss program optimization, execution and best practices
  • Effectively communicate goals and represent the project to internal, cross-functional groups
  • Own communication of progress to all levels of leadership 

Compensation

  • USA Compensation Range: $60,000-$90,000
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
