The Role 

As an Ad Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end to end process of ad campaign delivery, optimisation, and reporting. You will work closely with account management and creative teams to ensure campaigns are launched on time, run smoothly, and meet performance goals. Your role will involve trafficking digital ads, troubleshooting issues, analysing campaign performance with regular reports to share with client and/or client teams. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be detail orientated with a strong background in digital advertising and campaign management. They excel in multitasking and problem solving, with a proven ability to manage complex ad campaigns across multiple platforms. They will have strong leadership and management skills, with a collaborative spirit to work seamlessly with cross functional teams. 

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in an Ad Operations or Digital Advertising role with a strong understanding of ad trafficking, tag management, and digital advertising technologies
  • Ability to thrive and work independently in an incredibly fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ability to be agile across multiple streams of work, being able to multitask is a must.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to quickly and creatively solve issues (both technical and operational).
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability
  • Track record of delivering high quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads and DV360
  • Strong understanding of tracking technologies, including pixels, cookies, and tag management solutions
  • Commitment to driving innovative thinking to enable business growth across the digital ecosystem
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A sociable individual who recognizes the opportunity that this role presents and is driven by a long-term desire to grow and make a contribution to the client, agency and industry.
  • Relationship builder – it will be key for the person to develop a close working relationship with the client teams, internal specialist teams, clients, media owners and partners. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of digital advertising campaigns, including ad trafficking, setup, QA, performance and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely trafficking of all digital ads, managing ad tags, pixels, and tracking implementation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ad delivery, performance, and discrepancies
  • Maintain and update internal ad operations processes and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • When required help produce and manage key documents such as briefing templates, trafficking sheets, ways of working documents, etc.
  • Provide continued communication and active support to the team in all issues related to the delivery and performance of campaigns.
  • Assist the client and specialist teams in maintaining AdOps workflows & SLAs.
  • Deliver all work to required deadlines and to a standard that exceeds expectations.
  • While trafficking will be one of the core responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to take initiative and help guide junior members of the team where required and try to help raise the skillset/knowledge across the team.
