Dusty Robotics is the leading solution to ensure design integrity in the field through automated layout and a streamlined BIM-to-field process. Dusty delivers a combination of hardware, software, and services that fit seamlessly into existing construction work processes by printing digital models directly on the jobsite floor with 1/16" accuracy based directly on Revit or AutoCAD models. Dusty has enabled contractors to print over 100 million square feet of layout across thousands of buildings and is trusted by leading general contractors such as DPR and Skanska as well as trade contractors in framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

Position Overview
We are seeking an action-oriented Account Executive (AE) in the Western US to lead our revenue growth efforts. Our product is a hardware-based SaaS subscription in high demand within the construction industry. With strong market traction, we are looking for an AE with an insatiable curiosity to uncover what drives customer decisions, who can secure new accounts and significantly grow our revenue base. You will report directly to the VP of Sales.
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets. You’ll use your passion for learning and interest in, or knowledge of, the construction industry to craft strategies for closing deals and advancing through decision-maker hierarchies. You don’t just go along with the status quo—you challenge assumptions, offer new perspectives, and aren’t afraid to push both customers and internal teams to think differently, driving success through a willingness to challenge and innovate. As a teammate, you will also collaborate with the whole sales team on how to replicate success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify & Engage: Target construction professionals, including contractors and project managers, to promote Dusty Robotics' technology solutions.
  • Tailor & Solve: Use your curiosity and expertise to dig deep, understand customer pain points, and tailor our offerings to meet their unique needs.
  • Present & Demonstrate: Conduct product demos and deliver presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our cutting-edge technology.
  • Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with potential customers, becoming a trusted advisor and deeply understanding their business challenges and goals.
  • Collaborate & Drive Success: Work closely with sales, marketing, customer success and product development teams to challenge conventional approaches and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest trends and advancements in construction technology, demonstrating a continuous thirst to learn and challenge assumptions to keep our solutions impactful.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an Account Executive in a high-growth startup.
  • You are action-oriented, you thrive on taking initiative, making things happen.
  • Demonstrated expertise in closing 6- and 7-figure deals with enterprise-level clients.
  • Experience selling a product with a physical component, such as hardware, real estate, or within the built environment.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry (personal or professional experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, with a passion for learning, adapting and growing.
  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to think like a business owner, grasp market dynamics and speak the language of C-suite.
