About The Job:
We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to support Consumer Tech clients. You will collaborate within the team, provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients, and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of your accounts – their business, products, markets, and industry influencers; and will convey this knowledge credibly to members of your account team and to the media, driving media relations results. You’ll also be expected to mentor junior-level team members assigned to your accounts
About You:
You have an understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the converged media landscape. You are resourceful and tenacious when it comes to delivering results for clients and your team. Building strong relationships is in your DNA and you are a true partner to both clients and your team.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write and edit media materials such as pitches, bylines, and media lists targeting technology media
- Account support for technology clients, including building meeting agendas, drafting meeting action items and managing activity trackers
- Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts and proactively manage correspondence
- Coach junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise & delegate tasks appropriately
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, completing them on time and on budget
- Proactively practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the “big picture” of the client program.
- Assist with new business as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Earned a Bachelor’s degree.
- Earned media placements by crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, contributed articles.
- Equipped to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great organizational skills.
- 1-3 years of full-time experience within consumer tech.
- Prepared to present a point of view in brainstorms.
- Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Preferences:
- Previous agency experience.
- Experience working with technology clients
