The Burson IPA team in London is made up of people from a diverse range of communications backgrounds. We work with clients from a mixture of sectors including financial services, FMCG, government, technology, property and education.

As an Account Executive, you will be a key part of client teams, with responsibilities that include:

• Providing research and insights to inform client and new business strategies
• Joining brainstorms and coming up with ideas for campaigns and media stories
• Helping to develop press materials and pitch them to journalists
• Creating written and visual content for digital channels

• Supporting integrated PR campaigns for UK and global campaigns
• Getting involved in the life of the agency, through marketing, socials and developing new offerings for clients

About You

You’ll have a genuine passion for current affairs and follow the domestic and international policy and media environment. You’ll also have an eye for detail, enjoy the challenge of getting to grips with technical information and be able to turn complex content into something that’s engaging for a variety of audiences. You’ll also have exceptional research skills and the ability to translate research into pithy synopses and insights. You’ll be well organised; ready to be responsible for management and maintenance of account workstreams, keeping track of industry issues, features lists, podcast calendars and other resources. You’ll have a good pace of work and enjoy working on a varied range of clients and sectors.

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle workloads across high profile client accounts
• Personable and friendly, with an appetite to build great client and team relationships

• Enthusiasm for media relations and sound understanding of media agenda
• Strong writing skills
• Strong research ability and experience in getting to grips with technical topics
