About The Job:
We are currently looking for an Account Executive to join our Brand team in Toronto, Canada. You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, media-savvy, resourceful, tenacious, and can drive great programs and results while building strong, productive relationships with your clients and your team.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in brainstorms.
- Assist in research, development and writing of program plans.
- Assist with new business proposals and attend new business pitches and meetings as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts and proactively manage correspondence.
- Coach AAEs and interns and demonstrate ability to supervise and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Communicate with your account team to keep them abreast of timelines and deadlines (ex. keeper of workback schedules, program timelines, etc.).
- Support on expense reports.
- Compile media results for clients (experience with managing coverage trackers for your teams preferred.)
- Craft thoughtful pitches and build/maintain media lists for accounts (Experience with Cision and/or Muckrack preferred.)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Develop and manage media relations programs within the travel vertical press.
- Plan and implement press conferences, seminars, and other special events.
- Practice effective project management while working with other team members and show an understanding of the “big picture” of client programs.
- Research, interview, write, and edit media materials such as: news releases, fact sheets, pitches, message maps and other media materials as needed.
- Support social media efforts.
- Understand general principles of business and marketing and the role of PR in communications.
- Understand key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace.
Qualifications:
- You love media relations and building strong relationships with reporters in the Consumer/Lifestyle/Travel vertical.
- Bonus points if you are passionate about travel.
- People recognize your collaborative spirit, and the way you thrive in a close team environment.
- PR is your passion, and you possess 1-3 years of experience in consumer or brand PR.
- You’re digitally savvy, personally and professionally. You understand that any client program should be rounded out with social elements in today’s world.
- You’re driven and detail-oriented, and you possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and successfully meet deadlines.
- You have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and the ability to “think on your feet” and respond quickly as business factors shift.
- You have earned a Bachelor’s degree.
- Your writing skills are exceptional.
- You’re organized, and you manage time effectively.
- Agency experience a plus.
- You are in the know about what’s happening in pop culture.
