Account Executive, Accountants
Location: Hybrid in New York City (3 day in-office requirement)
Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of sales experience, preferably within Fintech, B2B, or Accounting/Bookkeeping.

Track Record: Proven success in a full-cycle sales role with a strong emphasis on closing deals and achieving sales targets.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Consultative Approach: Strong ability to understand customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions that drive value.

Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Accounting and Bookkeeping industry or experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus.

Salesforce Expertise: Proficient in using Salesforce CRM for managing and tracking sales activities, maintaining an accurate pipeline, generating reports, and leveraging data to drive sales strategies and performance improvements.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

Full-Cycle Sales Management: Own and execute the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualification, product demonstrations, negotiation, and closing deals.

Consultative Selling: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and position Melio’s solutions to address those needs effectively.

Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by closing new business and upselling to existing customers.

Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging and technical product demonstrations tailored to the needs of prospective customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from lead generation to post-sale support.

Customer Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

Feedback Loop: Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams to inform product development and improve customer satisfaction.

Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline, using CRM tools to track progress and forecast results.
About the team:
As an Account Executive on the Accountant Sales team, you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth by managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Your primary focus will be on selling to Accountants & Bookkeepers, ensuring they leverage the full potential of Melio.
You will be responsible for converting inbound leads, executing outbound sales strategies, and closing new business. Your ability to build and nurture relationships, demonstrate product value, and meet or exceed sales targets will be key to your success.
