Access Governance Program Coordinator

In this role, you will support our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team by managing and coordinating key aspects of access governance across Coupang. This role will interface with internal and external auditors, coordinate access reviews with governance teams, and work closely with the governance engineering team to implement automation solutions that strengthen the security posture of our access governance processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of access governance, compliance, and auditing processes within a large organization, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient, secure, and compliant management of user access throughout Coupang.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Support & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for managing Internal & External audit requests related to user access. Work with various teams to gather, validate, and submit required information.
  • User Access Reviews: Collaborate with governance teams to schedule, coordinate, and manage periodic user access reviews across various systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Automation Initiatives: Partner with the governance engineering team and act as project manager for efforts to streamline and automate access governance processes using available technologies, reducing manual workloads, and improving accuracy.
  • Policy & Procedure Compliance: Ensure all access governance activities align with established policies, procedures, industry best practices and most importantly, regulations like SOX and PIPS-C.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports and maintain documentation for audit trails, tracking compliance, and the status of access governance initiatives.

  • Excellent organizational and project coordination/management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail for working with access data and reviewing compliance issues.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools for tracking and reporting access governance activities.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation is a plus.
  • Experience using a GRC tool is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or a related governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) role.
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors on access governance compliance-related matters.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, PIPS) and their application to access governance.
  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms, including knowledge of access management, roles, and policies.
  • Familiarity with IAM technologies and tools for automation (e.g., Saviynt, Radiant Logic).
