General Description of the Programme:
GOAL has been working in Syria since 2013, responding to the acute needs of conflict-affected communities. GOAL is working in Idleb Governate, both through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, and provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) through support to Water units, as well as emergency support to recently displaced households.
GOAL has been working in North Aleppo Governate since 2019, through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, as well as emergency support for recently displaced household.
Key Duties:
- Ensure the management of the Guards and vehicle safety under the direction of the Access operation deputy Manager and ensure that all guards fulfill their responsibilities to the fullest.
- Access Assistant will manage all safety and Access equipment, ensuring that it is well maintained and functional, including First aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers.
- Ensure the safety of the offices and staff and participate in the development of standing instructions for Access.
- Train new staff members in communication protocols and the communication tree.
- Maintain a table of contact numbers for all staff working in the Office, Update, and share list with Access operation deputy Manager weekly.
- Keep a copy of the visitor log and check it monthly.
- Ensure that the APPROPRIATE contact numbers are available and updated in all the vehicles and offices.
- Ensure that all staff in the Office have an updated ‘GOAL ID.
- Report daily to the Access operation deputy Manager about the general situation of the office regarding the safety and the security of the building.
- Ensure that the communications schedule with the teams is understood and adhered to, record all communications, and failure to communicate in a separate communications log.
- Maintain verbal contact with all cars and Team Leaders in the field at regular intervals.
- Complete and share the daily team's travel plan and share it with Access operation deputy Manager.
- Ensure that the team traveling has the appropriate equipment as required per GOAL safety procedures and vehicles have a First Aid Kit.
- Gather information from the field as and when requested.
- Keep a database of all health facilities in the GOAL Areas of Operation complete with contact information. Update this list monthly.
- To carry out any other relevant tasks as requested by Access coordinator.
- Train and supervise the Guard team.
- Planning and coordination to handle various Access incidents with Access operation deputy Manager.
- Supervising and ensuring the implementation of the evacuation plan and updating its monthly in coordination with the Access operation deputy Manager.
- Assist in monitoring the surveillance system to ensure it is operational and report any malfunctions to the Access Operation Deputy Manager relevant policy
- Assist in monitoring field movement mission letter and ensure they are being carried out in accordance with the relevant policy
- Raising reports on accidents and violations.
- Verify and solve problems related to office Access and protection in coordination with Access operation deputy Manager.
- Preparing weekly reports.
Requirements (Person Specification):
- BA degree.
- Work experience in NGO for 3 years at least.
- Work at S&S in NGOs for 1 year at least.
- Good spoken and written Arabic.
- Good written English.
- Computer skills – (Word and Excel…)
- Technical skills, including setup, and social media…
- Clear communication skills.
- The ability to record, keep, and pass accurate messages is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and react to emergencies calmly and logically.
- Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues in work practices.
- Good knowledge for GOAL working areas context.
Requirements (desirables)
- Proven team Management experience for 1 year at least.
- Proven experience in reports writing and security incidents updates.
- Attend relevant S&S trainings.
- BA English, Business Administration are advantage.
