We need an English-fluent VP of Engineering, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance applications with a strong focus on TypeScript.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Strategy Development: Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company goals, ensuring timely delivery of key projects.
- Code Quality & Standards: Set and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to maintain a high-quality codebase.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Operations to drive innovation and ensure alignment across departments.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address technical challenges to ensure system reliability and performance.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on TypeScript.
- Proven expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React, Angular).
- Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
- Experience leading and managing engineering teams, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
It's a plus:
- Experience in a leadership role such as Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or VP of Engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $7,000 - $8,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
