Job Description

As a 3D WebGL engineer, you will develop a science-driven 2D and 3D representation of clinical data and its derivatives. Your talent will be applied to providing the most optimal rendering solutions as well as to precomputing necessary inputs, showing off your skills in the art of GPGPU. Our science team will provide you with the necessary knowledge, guidance, and reference implementation. You will work in a big data environment with a need for constant streaming of data to be drawn. Your interactive, web-based solutions will define the next cutting-edge technology for medical professionals in all neurology-related fields, both medical and scientific. The scope includes high-performance, scalable, precise rendering of brain images and graphs. Basic knowledge of signal processing is required, especially filtering (or will to acquire the know-how). An exceptional understanding of graphics programming is a must, combined with significant exposure to web-based technologies. Also, there is nothing short of your favorite, more mathematical topics such as data engineering or calculus itself.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a web-based medical multidimensional signal/image visualization interface with in-browser digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists and medical specialists to implement state-of-the-art brain analysis algorithms into web applications.
  • Optimize visualization throughput with GPU-based acceleration.
  • Contribute to web-based patient information and medical data management systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong front-end programming skills using WebGL 2.0
  • 2+ year’s experience with Javascript(ES6)/Typescript
  • 2+ years of experience in industry-level software development.
  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design and development of large-scale software systems and services.
  • Hands-on experience in digital signal processing such as digital filter designs, noise reduction, etc.
  • Familiarity with float point arithmetic standards such as IEEE 754.
  • Familiarity with GLSL ES 3.0, GPGPU, HTML5
  • Familiarity with OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulkan, Metal, SPIR-V, HLSL, OpenCL, CUDA, SYCL, system-level programming, low-level optimization techniques, vector-units programming, Emscripten, DSP is a big plus.
  • Experience in constructing and utilization of automated building, testing, and deployment systems, and familiarity with git-based code review practices.
