INDG is hiring a

3D Retoucher

Remote

Grip is experiencing exciting growth and expansion. To help us on the challenging journey to create the most beautiful and best-performing experiences for both clients and customers, we are looking for a 3D Retoucher with experience or interest in node based editing to join our team!

As our 3D Retoucher, you provide feedback to all the photo-realistic content that is created in our in-house 3D studio within e-commerce/digital marketing. With your Photoshop and retouch skills you know how to adjust lightning, shading and color to  make sure we can deliver the best quality of images to our clients. You understand what a technically and visually good image is. In addition, you will work on generalized setups for automated re-touch of Products. Basic understanding of 3D is very helpful in this role in order to translate client needs to our internal team.

What’s Grip?

With the help of Grip companies such as L'Oréal, Coca-Cola and Beiersdorf are automating content production for their entire business. Grip moves classic media creation efforts into the cloud, effectively virtualizing production. The software solution Grip takes care of generating high-quality visuals, at scale, on-demand and based on data. Brand styles, as well as product look and feel are codified, which ensures an entirely consistent, always on-brand output, no matter who (or what) requests it.

What will you be doing?

  • Take images of new products and seamlessly integrate them into existing photographed scenes - meaning you will retouch products (bottles, cans) to make them look real alongside the models or objects in the photograph
  • Retouch/clean-up the photograph to allow space for the new product to fit in. This can include removing the old product as well as retouching the model's fingers/arms/hands to make the new product fit
  • Adjust the lighting, colour and size of the products
  • Add reflections and shadows from nearby objects in the scene onto the new products
  • Colour grading, matching sharpness/blurriness, matching noise levels
  • Recognize where the 3D renders are incorrect (perspective, angle, lighting etc) and provide feedback to fix them
  • Follow our standardised method of working on the photoshop files/layers so team members can easily work on the file too
  • Engage in two 15-to-30 minute meetings per week to synchronise with the rest of the team on the project
