We are looking for a talented texturing artist who can work within a professional team to develop high-quality medical and scientific animations.
Your Role
- Create natural and photo-realistic textures as per the given references
- Work closely with creative head, modelers, and other departments to achieve desired look and to ensure all texturing/look development works through the pipeline
- Maintain or exceed consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work
- Assist with project cleanup and archiving on an ongoing basis
- Participate in review as a team member to determine various design solutions by providing feedback to other members of the production
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines
- Full understanding of texture map properties in relation to their shading and lighting qualities
- Ability to follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions, and other technical constraints
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in 3D design and texturing tools and technologies
- Follow company creative head and production pipeline, proposing approaches that stimulate positive enhancements
- Ability to solve complex technical problems that occur within the environment
- Effective time-management skills, including ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions and established protocols/procedures
Your Experience
- Degree in fine arts or equivalent with a thorough understanding of anatomy, or 5+ years industry experience specializing in texturing
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Maya, ability to create photo-realistic texture for models using given references
- Knowledge of Substance Painter, Zbrush, and Photoshop for texturing (or equivalents) preferred
- Understanding of shading using render packages like RedShift and Arnold is a must
