3D CAD Modeler/Designer

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a talented 3D CAD Modeler to join our Dayton Area of Operation (DAO) office. The candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused on the modeling, simulation, and analysis of aerospace weapons, sensors, and related command-and-control entities.
 
What You'll Do
 
  • Create/Produce highly detailed 3-D geometric computer-aided design (CAD) models on multiple foreign spacecraft using research from multiple intelligence and open sources (i.e. publicly available information, SIGINT, GEOINT, COMINT, MASINT)
  • Identify static and dynamic characteristics (e.g. external configuration, layout and location of internal subsystems, antenna and solar panel motion, construction techniques, and material descriptions)
  • Collaborate with a team of government and other contractors to achieve high confidence answers to challenging problems
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, management, and other team members
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships
  • Must be willing to work on-site at the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) within the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC)
What You'll Bring
 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience with 3D CAD modeling. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience working with Siemens NX CAD or SolidWorks modeling software or equivalent Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; strong interpersonal, and organizational skills; strong written, and oral communication skills
  • Project leadership and time management experience in the defense industry
 
Security Clearance Requirements     
 
  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance
Ways to Stand Out – Preferred Requirements
 
  • Experience with satellite system design, layout, or systems engineering
  • Experience working with spacecraft, satellites, or sensor systems
  • Experience with aerospace industry standards and best practices
  • Knowledge and/or experience of IC analytical standards to include Intelligence Community Directive 203
  • Experience working at the NASIC or NSIC with 3D CAD Intelligence Community models
