Job Overview
Reporting to the Manager-Finance, the Lead Finance specialist will be an integral part of the finance team. The successful candidate will receive excellent experience in all aspects of the finance function and obtaining in-depth knowledge of the business.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
- Manage the monthly AR close process including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL and preparation of AR month end schedules, revenue reporting and reconciliation to GL and metrics used for internal reporting.
- Ensure that the invoices are raised on time with 100% accuracy, invoices and provisions are entered in the accounting system
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue invoices and follow up to ensure timely payments
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Work closely with the sales team and PM to resolve billing issues and improve the payment process.
- Process and review expense claim reports, ensure proper documentation, and verify compliance with company policies
- Payment processing (payroll, vendor payments, foreign remittance, reimbursements etc.)
- Meeting the SLA s and assigned volume on daily basis
- Taking care of all statutory payments and filing of returns and related compliance.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial data.
- Prepare MIS, monthly financial reports with financial analysis, cash flow management and forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documents are accurate and complete.
Requirements
- Fluent Japanese & English
- Stay updated with the latest financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensuring compliances/ adherence to internal policies as per Internal Controls
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of excel, power point presentations.
- Exposure of working on ERP, working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite would be an advantage.
