JOB SUMMARY:
This position will focus on performing on-the-job training and coaching new hires on their specific position. The production trainer will train new hire while providing resources as needed so employees can perform their roles independently and effectively to production standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
a. Conducts on-the-job training for new hire production associates according to SOP/Work Instructions. Explain the WHY of the job and train the new employee to expectations.
· Coaching GMP, Safety procedures, Product spec, and Yields
· Familiarize new hire with work etiquette such as clocking and break times
b. Track progress of production new hires through evaluations
c. Weekly review with Training Supervisor to discuss new hire progression and personal development
d. Daily GMP inspection of production floor
e. Daily Safety inspection of production floor (PPE, Procedures)
f. Assist training supervisor and HR in preparing and leading job specific training classes
g. Required to meet daily with all newly hired employees assigned to review performance
h. Translator: translate for HR, Safety, and Production leadership as needed
i. Assist Classroom Trainer as necessary
j. Work with HR to complete new hire paperwork
k. Schedule and set-up Alchemy training
l. Assist Safety dept with administrative needs
m. Perform other duties as assigned
n. Maintains training personnel files and training database; compiles reports from training database.
o. Cross training between production departments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
HEARING:
Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Depending on the work assignment must be able to work in a noisy work environment.
REPETITIVE MOTION:
Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day, on cold wet concrete floors.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
