About the Facilities and Critical Systems Engineer Internship
If you are interested in pursuing a career in Facilities and Critical Systems Engineering at an investment firm, the 10-week Facilities and Critical Systems Engineer internship at Point72 will provide you with a valuable, hands-on experience. During the 10-week program, you will gain exposure to:

Designing and implementing new facilities projects, including data center expansion/upgrades

Supporting the assessment and mitigation of risks associated with critical systems

Participating in emergency response and recovery activities related to facilities and critical systems
-
Managing and maintaining critical systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
-
Supporting the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
-
Helping to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
-
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Assisting with procurement process as it relates to services required for maintaining and operating critical environments
- Liaising with various internal departments and external vendors/contractors/consultants we collaborate with regularly
Summer Internship Program at Point72

What's required

Must be able to work on-site as required, with potential occasional travel between our offices in New York City and Stamford, CT

Expected bachelor’s degree in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027

Demonstration of previous course work in MIS systems

Familiarity and/or ability to learn facilities related software programs.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail

Strong analytical, verbal communication, and technical skills

Ability and willingness to conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity at all times

The annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 (USD), which does not include overtime compensation, discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
