The Role:

Lead the IT initiatives and enable adoption and maintenance of the latest technology solutions. In this role, you will bring essential IT expertise, including in-depth knowledge of IT Cloud and IT Automation, to facilitate the efficient and smooth operation of all digital functions. This is crucial for a highly diverse and advanced engineering team utilizing the latest technologies and solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures, with a focus on cloud solutions and IT automation.
  • Manage and design complex IT infrastructure solutions, incorporating cloud and automation technologies, to help businesses achieve objectives.
  • Plan and maintain the complete IT budget.Define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes, emphasizing cloud technologies and automation solutions.
  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services, with particular focus on cloud and automated technologies.
  • Monitor the performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, making recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud and automation integration.
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs, including those related to cloud computing and automation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT, focusing particularly on cloud-based and automated technologies.
  • Exhibit strong security and confidentiality practices with systems that handle sensitive data, especially in cloud and automated environments.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations, focusing on cloud computing and IT automation strategies.
  • Drive improvements in technology, process, and data, emphasizing best practices in cloud computing and automation.
  • Use standard ITIL methodology to manage service requests, incident management, and change management using tools like Jira.
  • Provide access management design changes and enhancements for improvements in security, availability, and automation, particularly in cloud and automated platforms.
  • Maintain the company-wide IT inventory with a focus on cloud and automation technologies.
  • Liaise with the GRC team to ensure appropriate security and IT controls are implemented and maintained in the IT infrastructure, with special attention to cloud and automated systems.
  • Manage and work within the complete ITSM framework, including helpdesk, incident, and change management, with a focus on cloud and automation technologies.
  • Assess risk in IT systems and operational processes, with a keen eye on cloud and automated solutions.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience working in IT operations, with substantial experience in cloud and automation technologies.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a management role, with hands-on technical expertise in cloud and IT automation.
  • Strong skills in collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and team management.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects, including rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies with a strong emphasis on cloud and automation solutions.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, cloud technologies, and automation tools.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.A firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices, particularly in cloud computing and IT automation.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a relevant role, with extensive knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing platforms (like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and automation tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting using Shell scripts, with applications in cloud and automation scenarios.
  • Expertise in implementing Zero Trust architecture.
  • Required expertise in:
  • Antivirus Tools
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and macOSVPN (IPSec, OpenVPN, and/or Wireguard)
  • SaaS tools (IT inventory management, IT budgeting)
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools (such as Kandji and JAMF)
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting challenges, applying automation in day-to-day operations to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Identity Management (such as Active Directory, LDAP, Google IdP)
